How does Lunchable work?

  • You select Who you want to eat with, where you want to eat and when you are available. We’ll use your preferences to match you with the best candidate and send both people an invite to meet in person! You can always edit your preferences in the Home page.

 

When do matches go out? When must I confirm?

  • Matches are released twice a week on Wednesday and Saturday 11AM PST. Matches are for 1:1, not a group meal. In consideration of every user, we will send you a reminder notification 24 hours before your scheduled meal. We ask that you confirm at least 6 hours before the meal or else it will automatically be cancelled. 

 

I am not facebook friends with my matched meal pal. How do I reach out to them?

  • We will send you an email notifying you of your match and recommend you reach out directly to your meal pal through the email address provided.

 

What is the “groups” feature and how do I use it?

  • The groups feature allows you to 1) join a group for other users to find you through and 2) find new friends by browsing through groups. 

  • You may join up to 8 groups at a time among a list of campus clubs that you are involved in or public groups that you are interested in.

  • If you checkmark “anyone” in a group that you are also part of, chances are high that you will be matched with a friend in that group.

  • You will be matched for a 1:1 meal, not a group meal

 

How do I maximize my chances of matching?

  • We recommend you…

     1)join many groups and select “eat with anyone, but prioritize my selections” in the Who   

        portion 

     2)select continuous times for every day of the week in the When portion

I’m vegan and/or gluten free. How can I ensure I match with someone at a vegan and/or gluten free friendly restaurant?

  • We understand the difficulties in planning a lunch at a restaurant that considers your dietary restrictions. That’s why we’ve labeled restaurants with a vegan or gluten free symbol under the Where portion of your preferences. Once you select your preferred restaurants, we will do our best to match you with someone at one of the selected locations. 

 

Once I’m matched, how do I reschedule or suggest a different restaurant?

  • Unfortunately, this feature is not yet available on our app. We will send you an email notifying you of your match and highly suggest you reach out directly to your meal pal through the email address provided.

 

How do I cancel a meal?

  • Click the trash button, but please let your meal pal know through a personal message! It would suck if your meal pal accidentally showed up!
